Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

As the Prime Minister of Pakistan, I am dedicated to strengthening our nation's export stance, aligning with UNAA Pakistan's mission of achieving sustainable growth. Our objective is to significantly boost exports, a milestone essential for our economic development. We are particularly focused on expanding IT exports, harnessing the vast potential of this sector.

The National Compliance Centre (NCC) will serve as the national-level compliance center. It is a key initiative through which we anticipate a significant improvement in export standards, for the modernizing our trade manner.

Through the NCC, we aim to address industry concerns, improve compliance through effective and ambitious export laws, ultimately contributing to economic growth and deeper integration into the global market. I am confident that the NCC will serve as a central guide for international compliance requirements, providing a user-friendly online platform for businesses to navigate complex global regulations, particularly for agricultural producers, with both public and private sector stakeholders in understanding and meeting global regulatory standards, enhancing Pakistan's trade competitiveness on the international stage.

Mr. Jam Kamal Khan

As the Commerce Minister of Pakistan, I am committed to promoting sustainable and inclusive development through the establishment of the National Compliance Centre (NCC). This initiative aims to assist Pakistani businesses in understanding global compliance requirements, enabling them to compete more effectively in global markets. The NCC is designed to enhance trade compliance and social responsibility.

In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and recognizing the importance of social, and environmental concerns, we are aligning our initiatives with Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and making them more accessible to businesses. The NCC will provide comprehensive guidance on international compliance requirements, providing a user-friendly online database and valuable resources. The Centre will support all the service sectors, helping them navigate complex regulatory landscapes, particularly in areas where Pakistan has a competitive advantage in regulatory standards.

Through these efforts, we aim to address industry concerns, improve compliance through effective and ambitious export laws, ultimately contributing to economic growth and deeper integration into the global market.

At the rollout event for the National Compliance Centre (NCC), the critical importance of compliance and standardization in today’s globalized world was emphasized, as they play a key role in enhancing export competitiveness. It is important for businesses to thoroughly understand international market compliance requirements, and we are confident that the NCC will work closely with international stakeholders to foster sustainable trade relationships.

Our goal is to support businesses through the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, and other compliance frameworks, aligning with the relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By ensuring fair labor practices, we aim to strengthen Pakistan’s position in international trade and enhance its global standing.
